
Nasser Ibrahim Al-Hussaini graduated in 2014 with a degree in GIS and Urban Planning from the Department of Geography at Kuwait University. During his studies, he actively participated in academic and extracurricular activities, building strong connections with faculty members and enhancing his research and professional skills.
After two years in the private sector, he joined the Environmental Public Authority in 2017 as a Senior Geographic Planner, excelling in environmental data management and GIS applications for projects like eMISK, Kuwait’s environmental monitoring system.
In 2018, Nasser pursued a Master’s in Applied Geosciences and GIS, focusing on coral reef water quality indicators near Qaruh Island. He earned third place for his scientific poster in Kuwait University’s First Research Conference.
Now heading the Environmental Assessment and Monitoring Department, he oversees initiatives like Kuwait’s environmental portal and GIS-based applications, demonstrating his dedication to innovation and environmental sustainability.
