Programs

The Department of Sociology and Social Work is one of the main academic departments within the College of Social Sciences. It plays a pivotal role in preparing specialists dedicated to studying society, understanding its needs, and fostering its development. In line with its vision to achieve academic and research excellence, the department offers a Master’s Program in Sociology and a Master’s Program in Social Work. These programs aim to meet the community’s need for researchers and social practitioners capable of contributing to the development of social policies and improving services directed toward individuals, groups, and institutions — thereby promoting sustainable development and serving the goals of Kuwaiti and Arab societies.
